2012 318d Front window won't close - even with ISTA

Passenger window auto close broken - ECU can’t make it move

Front passenger window wouldn't operate. Used ISTA and it says it isn't normalised. Followed the manual procedure and it now says part-normalised.

It works fine with just the half click & it will auto open, but if you hit auto close it stops and throws itself out again.

The ISTA initalise will roll it down fine, then get stuck in the down position.

When part-normalised, I can command it a single up/down in ISTA fine but no matter what it won't fully normalise.

Any ideas?

Try cleaning the tracks and put a little silicone spray in there. But probably the regulator is going bad. There might just be a piece of dirt in there causing it to kick back.

Ah okay, just weird it’ll work fine with the single click “manual” close but not the open.

I’ll get it open this weekend and work through the ISTA procedures
