MHD Help!
Hello, I have been trying to tune my 435i using mhd to stage 1. I performed all the steps for tuning using my Thor adapter and I kept getting a message saying “connected.” and not showing a flash progress bar. This lasted for an hour until nothing happened and had to abort the flash. Now my car has every light on and will not start plus fuel pump constantly runs when in accessory mode. Not to mention now my battery is dead or appears to be dead because the car will not go into accessory mode and the drl’s won’t run. I have tried using a wired connection as well with a android tablet but it gives me the same “connected.” message and will not proceed after that. Could it be an issue with a weak battery? I had a battery tender on it the whole time I was attempting. Also is my ecu bricked? It is still able to connect to it.

Your battery tender is not supplying enough juice, you need a charger. Low voltage is bad for flashing. Hook up a charger, flash back to stock and then try again. Let the battery charge fully first.

The MHD app needs Local Network enabled. If you just see “Connecting…” and nothing else it might not be connected to your DME. When it’s connected that window then shows the status/timing for the flash to complete ( it shouldn’t be blank with no feedback). I have the MHD WiFi adapter and a full flash takes less than 10 minutes. And update flash less than 3 minutes. Nothing close to an hour..
And did you run the built-in MHD Unlock Check prior to flashing it to prove the DME isn’t locked? |
