Trees make poor car parks...
Reading all this xd vs sd debate has only served to enhance my paranoia about hurting myself in my new car!
Was going to look at some lessons to help deal with a lively rear end motor car, anyone had any good experiences with any of these? Things come a long way since my last rwd car- a pea green 1980 mkii escort, lovingly ruined with a cheap stereo, spoiler, 1600 cross flow Capri engine and a straight through exhaust. I lost the rear end in that once or twice with around 1/3 of the power of my future car |

I should not worry too much.
The 335i is a fairly well composed car, with more grip than power, so you should be fine! Just take it easy to start off with, and don't use sport+ until you are used to the car and the power

Yes, I think you are worrying too much!! Anyway, the electronics guarantee its pretty much imposible to lose the back end these days!!! (provided you dont switch the traction contol off).

If you leave the electronics on, it would be an act of gross stupidity only that would cause the car to get seriously out of shape!
Relax and enjoy your fantastic car! |

Agree with the above comments re the car's capabilities, you'll probably reach the limits of your bravery long before the car reaches it's limits of grip and capability!

Tbh, even when you do feel it go, it just sorts itself out minimum fuss. However, if in doubt, get signed up for ROSPA course. Have wife down for one, in her case so she can get best out of more power (correct application of ) and the auto. |

You would have to drive like a nutter with the traction control off, to get in any serious trouble. If you respect your own limits you should be fine, my car handles well beyond mine that's all I know. |
