Bentley's 8 cylinder cars only use 4 under light loads.

VW have a Polo that does the same.

As I said earlier, the v5c confirms the existing 335d engine is Euro6. The blue option may be to future proof for Euro7 in 2020?

That's as maybe, but I would certainly NOT go back to an E90 320i type engine after having an F30 320D.
For sheer driving ability there is just no comparison for an allround town and country driving motor.
