Custom steering wheel wrap

So got my steering wheel wrap. Had a mix of alcantara and leather (holes) with the red center line and m stitching.

This tested my patience and sewing skills (which i had none) but the end result was fantastic. It came out close to perfect.

they give you detailed instructions and there are videos on youtube (by them as well as others)

for example. Watch a few and you get the idea

Essentially you put the cover over the wheel, put double sided tape on the outer edge. Align the cover with the 3, 6, 9, 12 o'clock positions

Make sure the ends meet at the center point (use the current stitching as a guide).

Take off tape, start with 3, 6, 9, 12 o'clock positions, tuck material into the plastics parts ( 3, 6, 9 o'clock positions)

once the cover is stuck on, start stitching

NOTE: i found it really hard to tuck the material in between the plastics. I took off the airbag and the plastics and then installed it. Found it easier, less frustrating and a really good finish

Took me 6 hours to complete. Mind you I started 11 am at night, finished 5 am lol.

335's and 328's have the same steering wheel. it depends if you have the m sport wheel or not. They have it for all styles.

Also you can custom design it any way you want, all alcantara, any stitching colour etc

sorry i used the aliexpress mobile app to find it. the seller is Mewant but just to a search on bmw f30 steering wheel cover and there will be a couple that come up

You wont find my exact design as the sellers add. The add had blue stripe and the leather had no holes. When you make the purchase you can leave notes

You can also message them (via the app) and explain in detail. Communication was very good and prompt

Looks great

Assuming this cover goes over OEM cover entirely, leaving it intact?

And do you have heated steering wheel? BMW will only put leather on OEM heated wheels, no alcantara - must be a reason

What happens when one day you want to remove it? all that sticky glue will mess up your leather steering wheel i would imagine.

Another option is getting an Alpina B3/D3 steering wheel, it uses the same airbag but has the soft leather like M-Sport wheel, no idea about cost tho...

Mate that looks sick and it's my dream steering wheel!

Any idea if an F30 wrap will fit an F32 wheel?
