I'm totally getting mudflaps on my M Sport as a seasonal winter accessory. This will be my first winter with my car, and Minnesota roads turn to hell in the winter with all the salt and sand.

For those in winter areas, do the flaps work well to protect the skirts and rear bumper?

Really?! I asked a few months ago here, and they said something about manipulating the bolts. Also I was told the front side was difficult to install.

Pics? I wanted to do it, because it rains a lot here in Seattle.

It isn't really prone to stone chips in that area of the car. Your money would have been better spent on a clear bra for the front bumper.

I've had mine fitted since new from the dealer. 15000 miles on clock and the end of side skirts starting to get chipped now with stones. Least the start of side skirt is protected better than having nothing

Mud flaps are definitely required. Think of a bike you ride without a mudguard. Ur backside is completely ruined. Same goes for the car.

LMAO! Maybe in India. And a bike without a mudguard is an ill comparison. Bike wheels/tires aren't inset within fenders like that of a street car.

Mud Flaps Installed

Hi,

I have a 2014 328i sedan and installed them when I go the car. They are low contour and fit nicely on the car.

I have gotten into the habit of adding mud flaps to our cars to keep the stones, dirt and stuff from kicking up on our cars

Hope that helps

Getting them mounted tomorrow. One trip to the mountains to see the snow monkeys got my car so dirty that it was a quick decision to make.

I have a 2014 M-sport black metallic, and I live off a dirt road in New England so I had the mud flaps installed by the dealer. They look fine and blend well on a black car, and keep a lot of dirt/mud off the fenders. I previously had a 2011 X3 without the flaps and it always had dirt/mud on the sides. My car is pretty dirty in the pic below, we've had a couple of storms this week, but it shows the effectiveness of the mud flaps.
