XxThe_RemedyXx It does look like the zinc didn't properly set on the inside part where there's the rust buildup and we apologize for this. However, this will not affect the rotors all since the pads don't touch that specific area. As stated, you can spray that area with a black high temp caliper spray paint to prevent it from rusting.

As for the center hub and the outer rim of the rotors where it is "white" you can say, that's just because you live on the East Coat where there's salt and snow. This shows more on the black zinc coated rotors compared to the silver zinc. The Carbon Geomet rotors which have the Geomet coating isn't really affected as you can see because it's an overall stronger coating and holds up better in conditions where there's salt and snow.

I appreciate the reply but I'm a little disappointed that these brand new rotors are in the shape that they are in so early on.

Are there any options under warranty where we could get these swapped out for Geomet rotors?

E Lines were originally purchased for the whole setup but one of the front rotors was warped on arrival. R1 was good enough to send me a replacement set of Geomet front rotors under warranty and they have been great since.

Unfortunately we warranty our rotors for 1 year only on warping or cracking. I can help you out a get you a discounted set for the rear rotors in our Geomets if you're interested.

Still unanswered is: "What is that gouged line or crack on the rotor in the 3rd and 5th photos running from the center to the outer edge. That should not be there."

Absolutely, looks like a hairline crack to me. I will investigate when I get home from work and update. Currently driving my wife's car because rain

looks more like a pad imprint which is common to see when brakes are hot and you have the pedal down for some time - waiting at a red light

To me, that appears to be gouged out and not pad material deposited on that spot. XxThe_RemedyXx can you confirm if that is pad material by scratching it off or a depression?

Hey bud, definitely not pad material, it's a gouge. Not sure why this happened but my calipers and pads are on correctly, no noise or rubbing.

It looks like it might be a casting imperfection. Hope R1 comments soon.

Kevin from r1concepts has been really helpful. Initially when I had an issue with my front rotors and this time around with the rears. I'm sure they will do right by me. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the E Line rotors at this time, but the Geomet series is top notch.

Nice! The Geomets are great. I'm waiting for my rears to come to complete the setup.

i've been getting this weird buzzing/oscillating noise while i drive, only occurs when driving and no noise while braking, the noise is definitly coming from the wheels, i also have new akebono ceramics,

have you had any weird noises?

I can hear it when driving up against barriers. I think that's just the nature of cross drilled/slotted rotors.

you can definitely hear it when the sound can bounce off something, but its significantly audible when the windows are down, does this sound ever go away?? ive been reading that others are saying the same thing and its the nature of the rotors

I think it gets better after some miles but doesn't go away altogether. Honestly I'm used to it now and really don't hear it, although the sound increased a bit when I had the new ones installed.
