Air filter brand
It's time to replace the air filter and I was quite surprised that the oem version from bmw was £64. So having shopped around I found a Mahle one from euro car parts for £38 after a discount code.
Out of curiosity I rang Andrew page up and they said they had two types that would fit and TJ and a Blueprint one both priced under £20! What do youse think? Will there be much difference between a Mahle and the others. I know it's only £20 ish difference. I was just surprised to see such a large price difference to oem |

fcpeuro.com Lifetime warranty so when you need a new one you just order another and mail your old one back for a refund! They have BMW OEM and others as well. Might as well pony up for the OEM one if you only have to pay once!

He's across the pond - shipping could be a deal killer. I've been happy with Mahle, Mann and Hengst filters to save a bit over the dealer part.

I was wondering about a Pipercross foam filter. They're £40 on ebay and last 50k miles before you need to do anything with it.
I know K&N will kill your MAF but I've no idea about these.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pipercros...-/162893393658 As for the other filters you've seen, maybe just change them more regularly ? |

I ended up buying a TJ filters one for £14! After discount.
And to be honest it looks identical as the Mahle oem one the fit is a tiny bit tighter but I think I'll keep an eye on it and possibly replace it when I do an oil change maybe every 7k miles or so |
