After market exhaust tips! (F30 340i)

Im on the search for new exhaust tips, the ones that come stock on my exhaust (non MPE) are way too tiny for my liking. Ive seen a couple different people run different setup tips but looking for feed back on what size / color to go with, Do I go 3.5 or 4, Black or polished? If anyone has a good place to get good tips that would be appreciated! (Ive tried ebay and no luck i find random ones that don't look the best) Can anyone upload pics of their aftermarket tips on F30 335/340?

I ran a set of Remus tips on my stock 340 exhaust. They use the same or nearly identical to stock diameter pipes so they bolt up. I ended up cutting the stock pipes back a bit to move the tips in for a more flush look. It was quick project with the saws all. They have like four or five different styles to chose from.

I didn't like the way some of the cheaper aftermarket ones looked seeing they stuck out more. But that is personal taste. Here is how it looked.

I have an F30 335ix with an M Performance exhaust. The stock exhaust has 60mm diameter pipes, but MPE pipe is larger at almost 70mm.

There are lots of aftermarket exhaust tips. It's very important to measure the diameter of the rear pipe so you can order tips that fit.

If you have existing tips then you can measure around the pipe behind them which gives you the circumference. Diameter equals circumference divided by 3.14

Stock tips are usually snug fit slide on. So you can hammer them off with a block of wood to protect the tips or use a rubber mallet. May want to put a moving blanket down so tips don't get dented if they fly off.

M Performance exhaust tips are held on with these tiny set screws. Gotta get underneath and look straight up.

I'm attaching photos of the original chrome MPE tips and the carbon fiber over black tips that I bought for the MP Exhaust (70mm).

Check out mine if you want quad tips. Personally, I really like quad tips, but you need a new diffusor and a little work. It is very easy to do at home. Check out my post and I have instruction in it.

Ive got an AWE touring exhaust that I bought with the 110mm chrome tips. Fitment is spot on and it's not too big.

Hey, is that post with instructions still alive? The link seems dead, but I'm interested in figuring out how to run a quad tip exhaust on the 340i

I have the BMS gloss black tips and they are nice. They do stick out farther than the OEM tips so keep that in mind. I have a CF diffuser, so the poke isn't as substantial.

Do you have a picture you could share? Thinking of getting the BMS tips for my 340i M Sport and I have a CF diffuser as well. Would love to see how much they stick out as the stock ones are too recessed for me.

Get on your back on the ground with a tape measure. Measure around the pipe leading to the exhaust tip to get its circumference. The diameter of the pipe equals the Circumference divided by pi (3.142). So this is the inlet diameter size that you need.

Also measure the length of the exhaust tip and the stock exit diameter of the exhaust tip. Now you know what you need to choose when ordering. Lots of different exhaust tips available on AliExpress.
