Question B58 - Fumoto/similar valved oil drain plug w/ nipple - will it fit?

I want to get the Fumoto F139N plug, or something similar to be used with my oil extractor pump. That way I can remove the shield, run a hose, and pump all the oil out of every nook and cranny of my motor before refilling. Without the nipple I don't see much of a benefit of the device. Are there any problems with fitment that anyone else has run into? I can't find a good image of the drain plug anywhere, least of all one that includes spacing between that and the plastic beneath it. Ideally I wouldn't have to use the plug/nipple that points straight to the ground, but I have no idea if there is the clearance needed for one with an L shape.

This is for a 2018 440i Xdrive Gran Coupe

You're not going to get any more oil out of the motor with a pump than you are by letting it drain naturally. Pumps are typically used to pull the oil up through a dipstick tube, so you don't have to go under the car. BMWs don't have dipstick tubes. The only advantage to the Fumoto lies in not having to remove the plug to drain the oil. The purpose of the nipple is to attach a hose to drain the oil into a container rather than a catch pan.

There's also a benefit in time and simplicity for me. I use the dip stick in the Z3 for the pump generally but like you said no luck there.

Do you have any familiarity with the B58 drain plug area? Would this fit?

Where fit is concerned that's a matter of using the correct thread size, count and pitch. I don't own a 440i so I can't say if ground clearance is a problem.

In this case, the thread is perfectly fine. What I'm concerned about is the fitment between that and the plastic underbody as well as the surrounding fitment of the drain hole. If its recessed then this particular part may not have enough clearance around it.
