Oil Change Advice

I知 back looking for advice on where to take my 2014 BMW 335i Xdrive for basic service other than my dealer and what synthetic oil to use. It doesn稚 have to be an Indy Shop but somewhere reliable who uses the right oil, filters and can reset my reminder. West end GTA in south Mississauga/Oakville desirable.

My last dealer visit they used 0w-30 BMW LL-01 or LL-01FE.

Dumb question. Can a Mr Lube or like be trusted or am I better to go to a dealer or Euro Car specialist. I would like to move away from dealer service that is both expensive and no longer convenient.

Suggestions appreciated.

No, do not go to a lube place. They'll do something stupid like crack your oil filter housing cap. Go somewhere like McNally Auto.

I've been going to Frank & Jamie @ Eurotech Import Auto. They are around the Kipling & Horner area (south of QEW near 427). Good honest shop, fair pricing.

Also very good experiences at Techmax in Mississauga. There's many others like Raven etc....

Dynamic Auto in Oakville will treat you right, but they are a more generic shop.

There's another shop on the south service road or wyecroft in OAkville that is always praised, but I can't recall the shop. I can ask someone if needed.

There's also cross avenue that I'd trust, but not sure on their rates. My buddy's dad was religious with them for all of his services (Saabs, Minis, ranges, and Ferrari's)

You should learn to do this yourself. Oil changes are a great place to start DIY.

True, but lots of people in big cities live in apartments or condos and don't have access to a place where they can.
