These fitted fine and seem well made.

From buying an M car.
They come out of the factory with them and it's the only place they belong.

I got mine from a company called Mstyle, they were £80 I think. Quality is great, seems as good as OEM tbh (not that BMW sell them without the M badges!).

Fitting is easy and takes maybe 10mins for both, but maybe a bit fiddly if you're not used to doing stuff like this yourself - I only say that as i've seen some people on here say they found it difficult or even broke the tabs. As long as you're methodical and take your time this should not happen, just don't forget there are tabs at the sides of the grills too, not just the top and bottom, and above all don't force it!

I chose to go for the single slat OEM performance grills from BMW Cotswold - https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1205159

Think they cost around £90 all in, but they'll do the double slats and at least you'll know they're OEM.

Never even occurred to me that I was trying to emulate an M car I knew people were precious about inappropriate //M badges (myself included) but not about black grilles as well. Does that also apply to alloys that were standard or optional on the F8x? Should those never be fitted to an F3x? Just curious what people think.

(PS - I shall remove the grilles immediately and report to matron)

Good boy. Black single slats are available. Double only come with M from what I've seen. Don't be "that guy". Or do. I'm just a grumpy twat who doesn't like the doubles pretending to be M.

(Singles are easier to clean too...)

Chris has some pretty strong opinions on the the lines you can and cannot cross when doing something to your car that an M car has naturally.

Such as:
-do a remap to have more power than an M3/4 - you're fine
-make your car louder than a standard m3/5 - you're fine
-put an an m badge on your car - big NO
-put double slat grilles on your car - also a big NO
-put on double slat grilles with an m badge on them - you'll never hear the end of it!

I get the point. if I could afford an m2/3/4/5 I would be all over it but I cant so I am more than happy with my 330d. I just think the double spoke grills are a nice touch and look far nicer than the performance grills which apart from the colour are no different from the standard from what I can see.

It's your car mate put what you like on it!

No one likes the M stripes on the grille on mine but I do, so who cares, yes my mates banter me but I give as good as I get.

As long as you don't put an M320d badge, you're OK
