Reverse camera coding

Hi, I've just installed a reverse camera on my F31.(BMW not after market) I have got E-SYS software but it will not communicate with my car. Is there anyone in the Manchester area with the required software who can help me for a price. Obviously willing to travel to get this sorted. Thanks in advance.

Did you fit it yourself, or get somewhere local to do it, if the former, how easy was it to fit? And mind if I ask where you got the hardware from? I'm tempted to fit to my own.

Does adding S3AG to your VA not work? I've never done it before though.

Edit: Just re-read your post Not going to work if you cant connect to the car!

I got the hardware approx. 4 month back from a chap on ebay and only just had time to fit weekend just gone. The wiring is fairly simple but the hardest bit to install was the camera and cable. once all bits off in boot section (F31 estate) and on tailgate, getting the camera cable through the rubber wire harness/protector was a bitch. If was to do again I would do it in less than half the time. Feel free to call me and i'll talk you through it the best I can. The only problem I have is getting it coded. Finally got the E-SYS software connected to the car but when trying to code I am getting (no est file chosen c155) so once I get past that it should all come good. Really though, don't hesitate to call me if needed 07798 618365

Got E-SYS to communicate now but when I try coding its throwing (no est file chosen c155). Go in to options and click on EST and it blank. Need to find out what file needs to be there then it should work.

I was going to opt for an after market. Only went for the real thing because I offered the guy 400 and he accepted. I read the after market don't need coding but also read the camera picture quality is not as clear. Probably hard to notice though. Its a good route to take with being a lot cheaper. I rang an independent today and they want 150 to code mine!! Think I'll keep trying to get my software working first before I spend anymore

Finally got it working. Went through loads of threads and found one written by Shaun Sheridan and just followed it one move at a time and managed to load the 3AG option, put it in reverse and bingo. Happy now and thanks Shaun.

Hi mate,
can you still remember how you coded the rear camera? I am looking at getting a aftermarket one that needs coding. I have also been trying to find some help with coding the rear view camera option.

You just need to VO code the 3AG option. Same process as VO coding Enhanced Bluetooth, lots of threads around on that.
