Hey yall.. read the whole thread but still have questions.

I picked up a full set of springs from an F80 from a member here, with the thought of putting them into my 2014 F32.

I am STOCK suspension, non adaptive shocks with about 60k miles on them. (So yes, reaching near EOL on the shocks I would guess).

Questions:
1 IS there a diff between M3 and M4 springs, therefore this M3 set wouldnt be a good idea into my F32 even though they may fit just fine?

2. Am I going to buy trouble in weeks/months if these overstress my OEM shocks? (yeah, I want to replace those too, but budget is hammered)

thanks

The base M3/M4 springs should be the same or indistinguishably different.

I really, really, highly suggest not changing the springs until you can change the shocks as well. The Koni FSD shocks I used are just sufficient to dampen the springs, but I occasionally wish I would have gone with B8's or Koni sport yellows. Driving repeatedly on stock shocks would be awful.

Good feedback for sure, and looking to replace my shocks but just cant right now. I certainly don't want to make things bad, so if waiting is better I can wait.

The M4/M3 F82/F80 springs worked perfectly on my 428i xdrive. I just installed them with koni special active dampers without any fitment issues. I tried to install spacers to prevent any drop, but the ones I had did not fit. However, the drop was still modest at .5in, so I was not deterred.

M4 springs are about 20% stiffer than stock F30/F32 and seem to offer the perfect setup for my daily driver. The ride is much better over smaller bumps and seams with the konis and the springs allow me to take larger bumps with a bit more speed without fear of scraping my bumper. Body roll is significantly reduced, and there is no harshness.
Did you use the M3/M4 bump stops as well?

Don't think so, but it was so long ago I can't recall.
