Retrofit HUD on Ebay

There is a retrofit HUD on ebay for £350.. Has anyone done this yet?

Seems like a lot of work for something that just sits on the dash and isn't too integrated - especially given that the fonts and information look nothing like the OEM HUDs. It's a MINI forum, but same device and you get an idea of the install. Lot of splicing into ECU and then power.

That thing sucks, not even a real HUD and doesn't integrate with the cars navi.

Not to mention how dumb it looks from the outside.

I read a review on amazon and the guy gave it one star saying it was a waste of money..
