I had seen this collection... I like the Mojave Dessert edition as it is unique to my other watches.... I pulled my deposit on the Apollo 11 watch to save cash (and I wasn't loving the watch) so any further luxury watches are a few years off at this point! Unless something changes.... IWC are on my radar though!

I'm thinking of treating myself to an anniversary present, and I quite fancy a Breitling Blackbird.
https://www.breitling.com/gb-en/watc...V17310101B1W1/

I'm no watch connoisseur but I think this looks nice without being bling.
You guys seem to know what you're talking about, what do you think of this before I drop £4k to replace my perfectly serviceable titanium Seiko....
It'll be my daily wearer, no point in it sitting in a drawer

Thanks in advance

Don't spend 4k on one expect to pay 3k for a new one and then expect it to be worth 2k.

Having recently bought a Breitling and haggled, £3k would be a brilliant result. I managed 15% and I tried hard.

Not sure the valuation after is relevant or very helpful. Very few watches hold their value in the first few years, yet Tag, Omega Breitling still make some great looking watches and they sell well.

I buy watches that I like, not for an investment, which is why I haven't considered a Rolex, I just think they look a little old fashioned.

To the OP, have you tried the watch on? I tried the same one when I bought mine a few months ago, the 48mm version is just huge on the wrist.

Looking to buy my first proper watch and probably a TAG, so.....

We are heading to Florida next week and they have TAG outlets, has anyone had any experience buying from them and what kinda deals I can expect?

I started off wanting a Carrera Calibre 16 but its a bit out of my budget if I'm honest so I'm going a bit more sensible and planning on getting a Formula 1 and new in the UK the one I want is 1450.

Ebay and various online shops have a few but I don't want to buy now and then find great deals in the US.

Anyone on here looking to sell one perhaps?

I'm no Breitling fan generally, but like the look of that.

Go and handle it and a few competitors that you like the look of. Then go for it

You won't regret it, I was wary of dropping £3.5k on my first Omega and wondered if i would regret it. Not a bit, it's on my wrist everyday and after 7 years I love it just as much. They are the opposite to cars. Reasonable value retention long term, don't date, don't get boring.

Enjoy the shopping, few glasses of wine in a few shops while you choose

I've got a Carrera Calibre 5 for sale, but it's more of a dress watch than a sports watch to be honest.

Be careful buying in the US, with the current value of sterling, it might not be a great deal. Plus, unlikely, but if you get caught at customs with the box and papers for a new watch you'll have to pay tax on it.

You can probably barter 10-15% off the UK price in the high street jewellers, Beaverbrooks etc. Or, Bicester Outlet and York outlet have official discount Tag shops. You can barter off their prices too.
