ECU Remap 420i LCI (B48)
Hi guys,
So my '18 420i F36 just turned 4 years old, and while I love it, I always felt it was a little underpowered for obvious reasons. So I thought maybe I should remap this thing and enjoy the last 3-4 years of driving this car before I upgrade. As I understand, the 430i from the same generation has the same B48 engine, which would mean my car can be remapped easily and gain about 75-80hp, I believe. I'm a little bit (a lot?) of a noob with these things, so I was wondering: - Do I need to change any parts in the car/ engine? - What are the risk involved? Will my engine lose some of its shelf life by me doing this? - Is it relatively easy to do? Or do I need to do extensive research and find someone who is highly 'skilled' at this? - Any other tips, or things I should be concerned about? Thanks! EDIT: I have some coding applied to ID6 (CarPlay, VIM, some others...) and I heard that remapping the ECU may brick iDrive if its been tampered with. any idea? |

i accelerated my car
I had the values on this site applied to my vehicle and I am very satisfied. Does anyone have better knowledge about this subject, do you think I may have made a mistake?
