F30 - Rear sway bar/sway bar link movement

Hi all

I'm in the process of trying to locate the source of my suspension rattles/clunks/warbles. Honestly it's sending me crazy Should my sway bar and links have as much movement as they do in the below video?

https://youtube.com/shorts/TrBaCiO34...mjWSWBOUwriGPP

Thanks in advance!

Knee jerk says that isn't correct, but mine acts the exact same, so assuming normal!

Haha it just seems like it can't actually be doing much. It's reassuring to know yours' is the same, but maybe we're both fluffed 🤷

UK section here if you want to post in there also:

The rear drop links are cheap; I'd replace them both just for peace of mind (use Moog from your local motorfactors) or get Lemforder/TRW via Autodoc

When does the clunking happen; when driving slowly or all the time etc?

Rear sway bar is almost laughably thin and flimsy on the f30. It can't be doing much but the engineers must have put it there for a reason. I mean to say it's pretty weak right out of the box. Assuming everything is tightened to spec and not visibly damaged/worn, it's just weak as the norm

I'd say you're end links are at the end of their life. That seems like a lot of play compared to my car, which also uses the same spaghetti noodle of an anti-roll bar.

As for other squeaks, when was the last time you replaced any suspension components on that car? If it's been years, get them checked. BMW = a squeak timebomb.
