Need help to "unclock" the car
So I have an F30 328i xDrive and the odo says that it was driven 64400 km. At BMW service when they try to read the kilometrage from the key - it says 0 km. The car is obviously clocked and it bothers me - when I try to read the error codes - it says that all of them occurred at 0 km or when I register something like engine oil change - it'll always show next maintenance after 30k km(I change the oil every 10k km, but that's not the point). It seems that something keeps resetting the kilometrage to 0 in one(or several) computers of the car. Anyone knows how to detect that "something" and how to get rid of it?

Can you see how much km you have made after a trip reset?

Do you know any way to check that without removing half of the front panel?)
Update: While retrofitting 6WB cluster I found some kind of electronics(CAN filter?) attached to my previous instrument cluster. Sadly hadn't been able to determine the original mileage. Last edited by vahan3x; 02-25-2021 at 02:28 PM.. |
