WTB - Genuine M paddle shifters

As above , looking to get rid of the standard M Sport paddle shifters and replace them with a set of genuine M3 / M4 items.

Must be complete and unmarked.

Seems the going rate ,on here, is around £100 (ish)

Cheers - K

just to add, if you want to replace your standard m sport shifter, you would need to replace at least the back plate trim. you may get away with not replacing the front trim (although i am not sure if it needs to replace the front as well.)

Paddles are a straight swap. It's the split M3/M4 lower trim piece that really needs the corresponding rear part.

Anyone know how to remove the electronic shifter (the one with the cable tail hanging out) from its housing? There are some aftermarket shifter that requires you to remove the electronic and install it on the aftermarket shifter.

Picked up a set of F8x paddles on the babybmw classifieds - £80.

Bought a delivery miles F8x steering wheel as my original was worn at 50k miles. - £110

Needed the rear cover which was £50 from the main dealer.

Big improvement over standard.

what do you feel is the big improvement? i mean the steering wheel is the same, the difference is the trim and the paddle.

so the F8x paddle more responsive?

The paddles fit your finger tips better, there's more of a grooved shape to the rear of them.

The lower section is slightly longer, they feel nicer to use and look better.

The whole setup looks and feels nicer, going from a shiny leather wheel that's done 50k to a brand new one is a worthwhile mod IMO.

I used the existing loom when I had the paddles only, but had to buy this extra,

You can but i would need to source just the M paddles on their own , best to get the complete assemblies and swap them over in one go.

I dont , personally, like some of the aftermarket items - especially the oversize ones - the M ones are subtle , which i like.

I have just m paddles on their own. I can whatsapp you pics if you like and then you can decide if they'll work for you or not?

I know the pukka M paddles are replaceable but are the M Sport paddle backing switches compatible with the M paddles ?

Anyone ?

As i said earlier you need this , https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3299...79d44c4dHfEfXE ,as the backings are different ,and it is simple to swap over (just one screw if i recall correct)

Worked out cheaper as i bought the paddles only first and then the backing and used existing loom

Thanks for the advice and offers , however i would prefer a complete set of genuine OEM paddles. It will save a bit of faffing and waiting on parts plus it will be easier to revert back to stock should i move the car on in the future.

I have a genuine complete set. Off my F82.
But I have to be honest, you need to check how much these cost before you make me an offer... If you want to make an offer that is.
The part number for the shifter set is: 61317847610
