Is it Possible to add Variable Sport Steering?
I am 90% sure I am getting a new steering rack put in; my car hit a road hazard and its recommended I get it changed. So, with that being said, If I am getting a new rack, is it possible to get the Variable sport steering rack? Or is it not that simple/ do other parts need to be changed?

If the dealer is replacing the steering rack, BMW will replace parts which will return your vehicle to OEM condition at build time. The only exception is newer parts which superseded older parts. Anything is possible but if the retrofit procedure cannot be easily documented BMW dealer will not provide a quote even if you are willing to pay for the entire retrofit procedure.

It's always worth asking. Quite a few forum members discussed adding many features after the vehicle was built: lane departure warning, surround view, M Adaptive suspension - to name the more popular ones. Some are easier than others while M Adaptive suspension carries more complexity and much higher cost. Adjustable shocks alone will be north of $2K.

The dealership said they could possibly do this. They are going to look into it but said i should as well. With that being said, what all needs to be changed?
