Changed the springs today. Damn, this car should have came with these springs from the factory. So much calmer ride compared to the stock wobbly springs . I am not afraid at motorway speeds anymore.
Got a mild drop too, maybe 20mm. Should have changed these sooner. |

I am xdrive lowered on kw v1's. Phenomenal upgrade; without it, the car doesnt even compare.

The ACS springs are better than stock but still needs a better than stock shock and strut setup. Does not inspire as much confidence as I would like but still a better ride quality and handling than stock springs. The drop is just right as well.

I owned an E92 xDrive with KW V1's, and while it was a better "complete" suspension setup, I'm not unhappy with just ACS springs. The springs were enough to get rid of the coilover itch until the factory shocks give out in a few years. I also think this car rides better than the KW V1's did, but handling with the V1's is on a different level. Right now, I prefer the comfort. |

No spacers. I screwed up though, I am a bit wider than I wanted to be although i do love it. I could have went with a bit larger offset and used spacers to tweak it to move it out to fall just short of the lip. I have it set really stiff so I don't rub, which I like so it's actually fine.
I have 19x9.5 20mm offset wheels.

KW V1, no spacers needed. Flush in back, slightly inset in the front.

Yea, but you are in the US and I’m in Europe in a country with high tax on imports.
Otherwise I would be int in buying. What size are they?

I had issues after lowering, blowing out my Right front inner ball joint. It started after I lowered about 3", maybe a bit more. I lost 3 axles (all right front) since last summer but the last time the axle support bearing housing broke as well. I destroyed the right front of my car a couple of years ago so I'm thinking the support bearing housing could have been cracked since then and I never noticed it and with lowering it I put more stress on the axle support bearing so the housing allowed more play in the end of the axle at the differential and then it finally broke early Feb. I've replaced my axle support bearing and housing along with the motor mount to assure there was not excess play and I'm hoping that solves my issue.

Looks like you have different coil overs. I would also check your camber on your alignment. I know that can really affect the front axles. Looks like you also have different sway bar in the rear not sure about the front but that could make a difference. How hard was the rear sway bar to install? And did you notice a difference?

The rear sway bar upgrade definitely reduced the amount of rear body roll (obviously), but it's a little bit less composed over asymmetrical bumps. It's nothing crazy, but the rear jostles just a bit more than before. Eventually I'll get around to doing the front sway bar too, but will need to set aside a couple of days for that one. It's supposedly even more difficult than the rear.

The rear swaybar was really easy to replace (I did use a lift though so that makes most things easier), I changed it the same time I installed the coilovers and the Rear subframe bushings so I can't really evaluate the swaybar by itself but everything I did noticeably tightened up the rear end. I haven't changed my front swaybar yet.
