I mean that the FEM will count no. Of short circuites have been occurred . If. It exceeds 50 times, FEM will shut it down.

What are you doing to cause 50 short circuits? How you you know you've had short circuits? What are you using for a diagnostic tool?

Most ODB diagnostic tools with code clearing ability will do it, but first you've got to identify and fix the fault, otherwise it will just keep happening.

They wont.

Bmw's have a fault counter. If the same fault happens say 100x, ( a faulty bulb, or some other DTC for example) the ecu disables the circuit and the fault becomes permanent.

Only Genuine BMW tool like tool32 can reset the fault.

Is this the one? I’ve never used one before, is it pretty straightforward?

Any luck? I recently downloaded tool32, going to try to do this on my f30 and reset short circuit for angel eyes, as I repaired the damaged wires.

Tool32
FEM_20

Reset Job: steuern_reset_kurzschlussabschaltung
argument: Choose the bulb number from the table labeled TAB_AUSGANG_LEUCHTEN (found in the table information window)

To find the number of short circuit counts run job: status_kurzschlusscounter_abs without any arguments. That will also tell you the name of the light (to look up in the TAB_AUSGANG_LEUCHTEN table above)

For anyone else looking at resetting this like I have been
Bimmerlink connected with an enet cable allows you reset the too many short circuit faults.

Just done this with my f31 330d
