Did my first coding with Bimmercode today! Coded automatic power folding side mirrors and comfort opening/closing. Tried to also code the Alpina startup screen but it didn't stick for some reason.
Any other recommended features I should code?

Highly recommend enabling remote opening/closing of the windows & moonroof. Super convenient esp when you notice you've left the windows ajar from afar. You can program delays as to how long you hold the lock/unlock buttons before the windows start doing their thing.

If you've comfort access, it allows you to also close the windows as you touch the ribbed section of the door handle when you lock.

EDIT: lolz thats what you meant by comfort opening/closing. oops. I coded rear fog lights too, that's a good safety feature to add.

Got them from ebay (linked below). Wasn't expecting it to fit well but it went on the the stock exhaust like a glove and looks good imo.

How easy is the activation of the rear foglight switch? Can I just take it to a shop to have a mechanic pop it out and sand it down without risking breaking something? I'm very terrible at anything that's hands on.

One of the most underrated Bimmercode mod is coding in the BMW i8 seat belt chime or turning off the seat belt chime all together. I find the default f30 seat belt chime very obnoxious lol the i8 one is much softer and much more pleasing to hear. I also coded the Idrive 6 lite theme which is pretty cool. Doesnt give you any extra features but it looks a lot better than idrive 5 imo. Linked youtube video below I used to code this.

You could, but I do think you'd be foolish to? I just took a box cutter with a fresh blade, notched the plastic as a guiding point and slowly cut the plastic stop tabs away. As long as you shave most of the tabs off, it will click without issue. Took maybe 15-20 mins of patiently doing it

Alternatively I think used euro switches w/ illuminated rear fog buttons go for $50-$60 on Ebay.

I did the switch mod with a knife. Worked fine. I ended up ordering a euro switch for $50 off ebay because I wanted the switch illuminated. If I find my factory switch I’ll sell the euro switch cheap. I’m returning the car to stock now to trade in tomorrow. Just found the original amp so pulling my bavsound now

Did you also need a trim tool or did the knife suffice? I think my next mod will be the rear foglight. I have a friend who has dealt with this type of stuff before so I'll just meet up with him and we'll take care of it

No. Pop out the vent and you can push down on the light switch retaining tabs with you finger and work it out.

What I did today was go to the local Bmw since Im visiting Dad for his 70th and bought new wiper blades. Supposed to be rainy weather on the way home so I might as well be sure I’m safe as can be. They weren’t bad, just not great.I’ll put them on tomorrow when the sun is out and I can see.

I don't remember. I already have trim tools so I probably used it.

Do you happen to know if the coding for IDrive 6 lite works for a 2015 F30 or is it for newer models? Thanks!

While I prefer the RR chimes, personally consider as great to code the distance driven and the speed limit without the warning.

Depends on your HU. It didn't work on my 2016 LCI with id4, so most likely not. Anyway, you can try it and change it back if it won't work correctly.

I know it works for sure on cars with Idrive 5 because its just a theme setting that you need to change. The layout of the menus and software from ID5 and ID6 is 99% identical apart from the colors and the tile size on the main menu. The difference between ID4 and ID5 is much more pronounced because ID4 has a different layout and software structure.
