CarPlay Issue after Coding
Few months ago, I bought a fullscreen CarPlay installation and it is done by using FeatureInstaller remotely.
Before going to dealer, I coded HU_NBT ecu to revert the changes I had done by FDL coding. After coding, CarPlay disappeared from iDrive. Before coding, I thought that my VO codes had been changed accordingly for CarPlay, so this coding wouldn't disrupt CarPlay. However, it seems this is not the case. To get it back I made the following changes: After this, CarPlay came back but it is not fullscreen. It is a bit strange because there is a window on the right side like in non fullscreen CarPlay but CarPlay window on the left side is not resized. Hence, it is obstructed and I cannot see the right section of CarPlay. Do you know how can I get rid of this right hand side window? Is there a FDL code to do it? When I compare the file I sent to him and the one he returned back, I can see that the difference is in HMI_39_39_128. So, you are right, it corresponds to carplay_fullscreen. Thank you both. Hope this topic will also help others. Last edited by azengin; 07-19-2020 at 05:57 AM.. |

Hi,
I have a similar issue. I purchased CarPlay directly from ConnectedDrive Store and it is of course not full screen. I have the latest available firmware installed,I-STEP 20-07. I did try the above mentioned coding but it did not work for me. Can anyone confirm that OEM CarPlay can be coded to Fullscreen CarPlay? Thanks! |
