Mini DRL - anyone changed them for aftermarkets.

I realise this is a BMW forum but I know many of you have minis also.

I was wondering if anyone?s changed the standard DRL lamp fitting for an aftermarket one?

The fitting is a psx24w which includes the bulb and the adaptor. I would like LED ones to give the car a cleaner look.

We bought a one year old Cooper D, and wanted a very specific (and quite long) set of options which made it tough to find. The closest one we found had it all except for the LED lights which come with LED DRLs. Instead the DRLs were a yellowish lamp within the fog lamp housing, which we didn't like.

So we went for the dealer-fit LED replacements for these fog lamps. The DRL is either a complete circle around the fog lamp, or it switches to the top quarter segment when the lights are on.

They look really good, I bet they were expensive though! And do they need coding etc ?

£300 fitted I think. They may well have needed coding but it was included.
