BMW F32 (420i, Sport Line) using G22's v-spoke 780 wheels

Hello everyone,

I am new here and I apologize in advance if this is not place for this question.

I have a BMW 420i (F32, Sport Line) currently with 18" Double Spoke 397 wheels. I'd like to change the wheels for 18" V-Spoke 780 wheels (from a G22). The tire size is the same 225/45R18 but I have been told (by the seller) that the wheels are not compatible. In my mind, the only reason why the wheels and tires might not be compatible could be the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Has anyone tried something like this? Does anyone know if I can use the G22's tires in an F32?

Any help will be very much appreciated!

Thank you,

Tico_F32

The reason it is not compatible is because our F-series bolt pattern is 5x120 and the G-series bolt pattern is 5x112.

=No fit

You'd have to get something like this to make them fit:

A lot of people who like a specific brand or style of wheel but for something that is not made in the F3x bolt pattern use adapter plates to make them fit. There are lots of opinions on safety, etc. but as long as you check the tightness on a regular schedule they are fine. Of course, they could also impact the backspacing (ET), so you'd have to do some test fitting or calculations to see if the wheels would still actually fit.

Thank you alohasurftoad and BaconDouble for your advice. Now I know the wheels are not compatible. Cheers!
