For stability and to avoid any other modification to fitting. Which one would be a better choice to put on, 513 or 437?

Currently on 19” x 8 Front and 19” x 8.5 rear 403m sport staggered wheels setup with.

TBH I like both and eagerly looking for this change on my F30 335i.

Thank you 🙏

they both are 9"ET29 front, 10"ET40 rear, albeit different diameters.

better=very subjective. can you further elaborate what you desire from the wheels.

i'd get the 513M, because less people have them, they are lighter(than 437M) and will have a better ride and impact protection. the tire size combo i'd do is 255/40/18+285/35/18 OR 235/45/18+265/40/18 OR 245/40/18+275/35/18 if lowered.

here is the 437M thread...
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1020367
tire sizes i'd use, 245/35/19+285/30/19 if lowered OR 235/40/19+265/35/19 if not or mildly lowered.

I would like to keep the ride quality and the stance which I agree would be nicer with 513.

437 are aggressive though impressive 😊

As someone with 437s I wish I would have waited to find the right set of 513s. The 437s look great and are actually lighter than the 513s once you factor in tire weight. But I'd rather have the taller sidewall with the 513s.

Genuine 763M wheels come in 19&20" diameters, 9"ET29 front, 10"ET40 rear.
they are the lightest of the 19" BMW F8x M wheels.

you will have much difficulty finding a used 763M set. are you buying used or new genuine?

if you are buying new, you may want to consider Apex VS-5RS. they look sort of in between 513M and 763M and available in 18"&19" diameters. 9"ET30 front, 10"ET40 rear. superlight yet strong, w/knurled beads, in brushed clear, anthracite, motorsport gold, satin black. imo they are compellingly priced for a fully forged wheel.

Original but used in 9/10 condition. Negotiating price at the moment. Let see

I will definitely look into the Apex VS-5RS.

Lastly what will be the good setup with any of these wheels, square or staggered as I m not going to lower in near future.

It’s to sustain the ride quality with some bold aesthetic. 😊

Another vote for 513s. Just about the lightest OEM wheels BMW make for the F30 platform (loads lighter than 437Ms), and they look fantastic.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1876357
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...+255%2F40%2F18

staggered tire size combos
235/45/18(26.3")+265/40/18(26.3"), 235 is stretched on 9", gaps reduced due to diameter
255/40/18(26.0")+285/35/18(25.9"), stock diameter = stock gaps but poke reduced 3-dimensional gap
255/40/18(26.0")+265/40/18(26.3"), front gap>rear gap, rear gap reduced due to diameter
255/40/18(26.)")+275/40/18(26.7"), front gap>>rear gap, rear gap tight due to diameter. M-car takeoff sizes

255/40/18 on four 9"ET19 fronts is your only square choice

imo, aggressive setups(poke side of flush) doesn't look quite right unless you are at least mildly lowered.

my motto is buy once+cry once & do-it-once+do it right. so personally, i'd run 255/40/18+285/35/18, slightly lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit, which ride and handle better than (704) m-sport springs anyway.

*btw fyi, there are rare reports of 255/40/18@ET29 rubbing the fenderwell liner or tab while turning at full-lock
.

FWIW I run 235/45/18s all round on my OEM BMW Style 405Ms at 18x8 each; so a straight set

Id love a set of 513Ms but cannot justify their cost, at all. They're silly expensive here in the UK

405Ms come in at just over 9kg a corner: https://www.auto-treff.com/wcf/index...4-styling-405/

When I took the 403Ms off the F31 when I bought it; their weight was laughable (as in stupidly heavy); the 400Ms with winter tyres I had were lighter, but not by that much

In comparison the 405Ms are super light and even with the Goodyear Assym6s I've got fitted; still feel very light and you can tell when driving the car too

Apart from the 513Ms; the Apex ARC8s are about the only other wheels that really appeal to me, 18x9 ET30 all round with 245/40/18 tyres would have them sitting perfectly IIRC

You know what I think is that I m seriously taking “Alohasurftoad” advise on keeping the square set up of 513 wheels.

Makes life a lot easier IMO; you don't NEED staggered alloys...

I ran staggered sets on my BMW saloons (E39s, E65 and F01) etc but on my tourings I've always stuck to straight sets

Never noticed any difference in handling or ride etc

Plus going up a size gives better sidewall/rim protection and a better turn in feel IMO

The only concern is that the stock setup is front 8 and rear 8.5 to be replaced by 9 all around. Rear with side of .5” would might not matter but 9 from 8 might? Idk but I want to take a chance. 🤞

It'll be absolutely fine

A UK owner here running Apex ARC8s with 245/40/18 all round, 18x9 alloys with an ET30

They fit spot on

I'd be interested to see what tire sizes people are running on 513M with Xdrive. If you don't get it right with the sizes, it looks funny.

513M looks better, is lighter, and fits a meatier tire setup. It's perfect.

I agree.

But what if you find a square set up of 9 or maybe 10 all around. I guess on a square set up it would be much more easier with the ride and stance.

Id like 10 in the rear with my LSD setup and my power goals. 10 up front is too wide though. 235/45 front and 265/40 seems to be the sweet spot. ThicWhips ran it on his 340XI
