AWE Exhaust Tip Size's

Hey everyone, in the next two months I'll be getting an AWE axle-back with the non-resonated performance mid-pipe and I want to know what the 102mm tips look like in relation to the 90mm. Please post some pics!

Also, my car is Midnight Blue Metallic; should I go polished chrome tips or polished gloss black? I just want some opinions.

Agreed, would love to see some shots of the 102mm with as many angles as possible.

If all else fails, they've got some great pics on their site: https://www.awe-tuning.com/awe-bmw-f32-435-exhaust

If I were you, I'd definitely go 102mm. I'd normally lean towards the gloss black tips, but for midnight blue, I'd say go chrome.

I ended up with Borla ATAK catback system, but still always curious to learn more about the AWE setup!

if you are planning on going with a subtle more oem look I would say get 90MM tips black will blend in more chrome will add a bit of flash. if you want to have an aftermarket exhaust look definitely get the 102mm tips!
here's my car with 90MM diamond black tips and when I later changed them out to AWEs Carbon fiber/chrome tips(I don't remember how big they are. they aren't quite 102MM but they are much bigger than the 90mm) I cam get better pics of either if you like to see anything in particular.

Do you have an off to the side shot? I want to see how they stick out in relation to the rear bumper. I appreciate the pictures!

I was gonna use Borla, but it doesn't fit Xdrive. So AWE it is haha.

the pic of the black tips are when it was first installed you can move them in and out pretty far to your liking since they are just clamp on. The chrome and diamond black tips have a slant cut but the carbon ones don't ( I wish they did) and I have them out a bit far so the logo is visible.

That slant cut looks perfect! 102mm it is.

Thank you dude. I'm going for the loudest street-legal build, as in, passing all emissions testing.

Had no idea the tips were clamp-ons - that's pretty neat! I'm personally not a fan of exhausts that stick out (hence, why I strongly dislike DINAN's exhausts; unless DINAN is clamp-on as well?), so this is absolutely perfect!

And agreed, the slant cut looks so good

The AWE CF tips are 96mm

The slant cut looks awesome because you can have oversized aggressive tips that don't stick out. At least, that's why I like them.

Would anyone know the size of the outlet of the Awe Touring exhaust? Where the tips meet the exhaust. Just wanting to see for fitting other aftermarket tips to it. Maybe another clamp-on-like tip can be used?

Thanks

I'm actually not sure. Best bet would be to contact AWE.
