Codes 822 & 823 - question
My car is a Euro spec, and I'm importing it to a GCC country. there are two codes-
822 Gulf Version 823 Hot Climate Version Is it possible to code in these and basically convert the car to GCC spec? From what I understand all these codes do is reroute more power to the air conditioning. If anyone ever did anything like this please share. thanks |

Mostly with these two options the car will normally have an oil cooler and a higher power fan around 600w to help keep engine temps cooler and more power to IHKA. You could check the car has them. Either way you could code them individually and see if more power is rerouted to the air-conditioning.

The radiator fan will be the easiest to swap compared to the oil cooler since the oil cooler will need extra pipes, mounts etc. I will recommend try first swapping the fan. The oil cooler will mainly be keeping the engine temps lower. After importing the car and see the engine temps are high i would recommend to get the oil cooler.

This is an example of the radiator fans for 2013 F30.There are 3 versions 300w 400w 600w. You can check which options your car has and see the recommended fan you should replace from the website using the car's VIN. I've seen some which has this option S840A have an oil cooler. |
