I think with more octane you can add more boost and keep your 9+ degrees of timing.

Your hpfp will support a mix of e85.

You will need the upgraded tmap to run more than the 21psi of boost.

I think your tuner is keeping things conservative based on your fuel. Which is totally fine, but if you are wanting more power, the ps2 is certainly capable of more than what you are currently asking of it.

On my ps2 with stock hpfp I cant run more than 20/21 psi with a clean 9 degrees of timing on 93aki and 70%meth with 2 number 7 nozzles.

If I mix for e25 I can run 24psi with clean timing.

I acutally did order the 3.5 Tmap, but they said they didn't need it so they ended up just refunding it.

Down the line I'll look into a E blend and get the Tmap in.

Sadly yesterday as I was driving back from the shop, around 80KM, My charge pipe blew off again, on the first dyno run It the clamps broke, we replaced the clamps, and I think now the intercooler side of the charge pipe is loose or broke, so I'm just gonna order the VRSF CP and hopefully i'll be good to go.

Also does Meth (Snow performance in particular) does it leave a sweet kind of odour when being sprayed?

I've never used the Boost Juice before. I've never seen anyone comment that it has a odor.

I use VP Racing M1 and distilled water.

On the topic of meth, about how many gallons do you need, in order to NOT have to refill it till you refuel the gas tank? Is that even feasable, to not have to refill the meth till the fuel tank is empty?

The answer I wanted thank you. Meth is new territory for me. I've got a PS2 getting ready to go in, so learning about meth is now mandatory. I think it'd be a royal PITA to have to check the meth bottle in between fuel fill ups. Thanks again.

Most meth systems have meth only spray when you hit a certain set point for boost.

So no meth is used in regular driving only full throttle situations.

If you are tracking the car it may burn through a tank in a day, but otherwise it lasts a long time.

I have the bms 3 gallon stealth tank and it lasts 2 maybe 3 months with my daily driver. I go wot around 2 to 3 times a week.

Its so easy. Less thought needed than mixing e85.

The combustion definitely has a different smell with meth - I would call it sour though. I can smell it at WOT with the windows down.

Hi update guys

I got my new charge pipe installed today

It fixed the code I got "108F01" and it finally let me use full WOT without throwing me into limp right when I build boost, but noticed during regular driving, cruising in 8th gear, it'll random throw me the code but once its cleared it doesn't return for a bit.

I also got a transmission code but never came back after I cleared it. "CF16D1" and "CF19C1". The car will as well sometimes just not build boost, with 0 codes but with a quick restart it fixes it.

I'm trying to narrow down what can be causing these. As the "108F01" came when my charge pipe intially blew, fixed it but still occurs. will post datalog tomorrow as I'm writing this 4 am lol.

Hey guys

Update

So it's been about 3 weeks since I've got my setup all together

HPFP PS2 + Meth

I used Boost juice 50/50 premix for a week, pulled a lot of timing for some reason, my tuner recommened I switch to pure meth, and did a 100% and runs wayyyyy better

I'm running Low 12s, Ran 12.4 at a drag strip, and best time I did was 12.2 on a draggy. still Haven't done a 11s, I keep having issues with my 60th, the Xdrive just doesn't seem to launch right, so I've been using RWD(Xdelete) and its been way better, odd because before HPFP and Meth I was able to do an 11.8.

My MHD is always Auto logging, what would be the best way to sort through those logs? as I'd love to post some for you guys to give some feedback on


What I'm looking to do next is my Tmap sensor so I can start running E50.

tmap is a must do btw.

so I was about e70 with fbo and stock turbo and did my 11.76 at 116... with a ps2, it will not launch the same. you basically have no power band till 4k. you have to launch hard to get a good launch. but a 20psi e30 map should at worst get you high 11s at 120+ ( that's what the ps2 bm3 2+ e30 guys get ) I can get a screen shot of a dragy run that does 11.6 @ 122 on a 1.9 60' with a very very soft xdrive launch on a 335.

so it all depends on the tune itself

Turn off autologging and collect logs the proper way or open the files in excel and manually trim them down before uploading to datazap.

i think he is saying his 11.8 was done before HPFP and meth upgrade, so that is with PS2?

If so, it doesn't make sense to go slower when you upgrade HPFP and add meth and custom tune.... unless temperature and altitude are very different.

please share a log once you get some going WOT in 3rd or 4th gear. maybe you're running really rich with 100% meth??

Hey guys,

So I've been doing a lot of testing

The wastegate issue I believe is just a readjustment needed in ISTA...will be getting around to messing around with that soon


Last week I did a few races against a 135(n54) and a few B58's

The b58's were both stage2 but they were on rear panel which was v suprising.






Ngl kinda makes me sad how these b58's are on par with me after all the mods I've did.

For what I have next planned for my PS2 setup, or I might just sell it before then and switch to single turbo.

I'm going to be adding the Prometh Direct port meth rail, and hopefully I'll be happy with the results this puts out, and switch to a JB4 and the BMS Meth kit from AEM

I also Have been using XHP stage 4 OTS settings

I have now gone through and changed all the settings and hopefully it should give me ae better time, I turned down the LC TQ % from 25/25 to 15/10, and using custom shiftmap as well. hopefully it stops raining this week so I can go out again.

Overall. for my goals PS2 was not the turbo for me and should have waited more, but ay we live and we learn!

still need to know where you are time wise after the hpfp and with the tune sorted with updated logs.

btw, you said something about switching to a single turbo? I'm confused about that statement.

Same question about single turbo - what?

In the video, the start wasnt even, no LC or brake boost because the flashlight? Also why the heck would you start a race right before a speed bump/hump lol?

Anyways, we all know the B58 has a much higher power ceiling with stock turbo than N55.
