440i transmission service

I have 2018 440i m sport with 70k miles. Should I get a transmission drain and fill per the independent service companies? The dealer didn't want to do it because they said it's lifetime fluid and they wouldn't want any liability. What do you guys recommend? Thank you,
Steve

Yes, you should do it. ZF, the manufacturer of the transmission, says to change the fluid at 100K Km (60K Mi)

440i transmission service

Thank you. Do you have a recommended service center in Orange County? So far the first quote I received was 1800.00. Is that reasonable?

I don’t know about pricing where you live but I spent ~$500 to have it done.

I do not but I plan to do mine myself. There is a FB group called SoCal BMW Group and another called Orange County BMW Owners Club where you could ask for a recommendation

There has to be a bunch of independent German car specialists in your area that can quote you that service over the phone. You should also get the differential fluid changed too.
