Sreten has said all the time that he is not a professional, he's a regular 9 to 5 guy like most of us, that started doing this and is just trying to do the best that he can with what he has and what he knows. I don't think he ever said he was a professional engine builder and is going to measure all 32 valves from 6 different angles to go out and win a race on Sunday. And we should all build ours like this video and copycat him exactly. Anyone setting out to build their own engine should be smart enough to do plenty of research and decide if they need to do all of the things you're mentioning or not. I was happy to see him use the mic set in the more recent video. I bet that he's aware of most of what you're saying but has decided it's not necessary or practical for the build.

It looks like there has been a computer glitch, our discussion yesterday has been erased.

So anyway, that car does look pink on camera, I would really like to see it in person. Great spec. I am in the midst of doing an m52 stroker build myself and am not sure if it was a good idea.

Yes, S85 Builder was banned, good. He maybe the best engine re-builder ever, however to have that much anger and spite is not good. He needs help from the medical profession.

Yeah that was wild. Dude claimed not to care while writing unhinged rage filled walls of text as if Sreten personally owed him something.
Haven’t seen a forum meltdown like that in a while LOL

All that stuff got deleted once, and by talking about you're setting up for stuff to get deleted a second time, where mods will probably be even less happy due to doing it a 2nd time

Part 4 of the Alpina B10 V8s series

Quote:
The rejuvenation of 1 of 43 examples made of the Alpina B10 V8S Touring continues. We are shaving off miles with loads of brand new parts, and after sorting out the V8 engine, we are overhauling the front suspension, brakes, wheels, and worn-out interior. I also show you how to rejuvenate old leather.

An extra video from the M539 Plus channel.

How are carbon fiber parts made? Why do they cost so much? Chris from Partee Racing dives deep into this subject and explains what it takes to make high-quality carbon fiber parts.

No need really to compare, it's just a thing where if you like Sreten's channel you might also like this one as well. In the latest EMS episode he has an M539 restorations shirt! I thought that was cool.
Thanks for the tip, I've just subscribed

I've been watching M539 Restorations since the beginning of the covid lockdowns. I'm still like a kid when I see a new video notification!

It was a very strange feeling to open this thread and see my face on the thumbnail of a video someone shared

Nope, no drama. Just plenty of fogging oil for men and clean carbon fiber towels.

To be fair there was quite a bit of drama not that long ago... but it didn't pass through moderators

New video, and a new car! New to him anyhow, and a brand I don't think he's done before. Still fun to watch it come apart.

I beat Mani59 to this?

I must say, I do agree with Sreten regarding the "elegance" of how Mercs are designed and built. There's something intangible about working on them that isn't 100% there in BMWs.

Fellas, I need some help.

I just picked up a 2001 BMW E46 325I, with only 11,000 miles on the clock. It has been sitting for 12 years. How would I go about siphoning out or removing the old fuel in the system?

That's got nothing at all to do with Youtube video channels. Certainly there's a better spot to ask that'll get more views?

What? It is an exact replica of what Sreten does in his videos. I was looking for expertise from those that are fans of or have engaged in similar projects - because - of who we follow.
