340i xdrive - will 356 rims fit?

So I just picked up a set of 356 wheels. I was under the impression they were a square setup, but they're not.

They are currently on 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 rubber that is in good shape for a winter setup.

I'm pretty sure they're 1% difference in diameter/circumference. Will that work with my x-drive or do I need to take them back/get new tires?

I currently am running (on factory optioned 624's) 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 which are .8% difference.

I am in a 2016 340i xdrive.

Thanks.

245/35/20=26.8"
275/30/20=26.5"

difference is 0.97%=1% ok for x-drive. diametrically, 235/35/20 up front would pair up better with a 275/30/20 rear if x-drive.

fwiw, those rims are 15.6kg=34.3lbs each. with larger diameter(taller gearing), wider(more rolling resistance) and heavier tires you should expect to feel a significant difference in acceleration/braking. not that you're accelerating or braking hard in the winter...just sayin'

Yikes, they are heavy. Current 624 style weigh 10.4 and 10.55kg each.

Just good to know they won't mess with the xdrive (in a bad way).

I have the track package w/bigger brakes and stage 1 bm3, but will be sure to try to behave with the throttle.

Should the backspacing from the new wheels work out as well, with no rubbing or clearance issues?

ET33, ET44 with those tire sizes are fine, however the inside shoulder of the front tire will be a few mm from the spring perch and the outer shoulder few mm from grazing the fenderwell liner at full lock, as well. rear will be close to rub but since the tire cambers during compression it should clear by millimeters.

in this link is 245/35/20 et35...https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...54&postcount=1, yours will have 2mm more lateral clearance. consider 245/35/20 is a nominal size designation and actual tire size between tire brands/models of a given size vary.
