Convertible roof error on a saloon?!
Hi - hoping someone can help...
I haven’t driven my 335d for about a week. When I last drove it, there were no issues or warning lights at all and all servicing was up to date. When I turned on ingnition this evening after a week, I got multiple warnings etc and the dashboard showed all the lights overlapping each other at once. The faults include: - convertible roof failure (it doesn’t have one) - parking brake failure (it’s fine) - park assist failure (it doesn’t have park assist) - replace front and rear pads - overdue since January 2000! They’re fine - emissions test due (it was serviced in August) - HUD not displaying all info - seatbelt showing as not fastened when it is There are some others too. I have phoned BMW but they can’t fit me in until 23rd January! I’ve tried all the normal resets -which it lets me for pads but when ignition is turned on again, it still shows. I’m guessing it’s just a software problem from being inactive. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could do myself to solve it instead of waiting for 2 weeks! Thanks in advance and apologies if this is in the wrong section. Due to the faults, it didn’t seem to fit in one area. |

Many strange warnings usually indicate that your battery is low or going bad. Try a trickle charger.

Do you have any news about this? I am facing the same problem on my BMW 418d Gran Coupe from 12/2015. The car suddenly goes crazy and everything is mixed up and a lot of messages pop up, exactly as you explained

Or not. If I had a dollar for every time someone said it was a battery when it wasn't I wouldn't be driving a BMW, I'd drive a Porsche. In the case of the original post it could have been low voltage due to a long period of not being driven, but that only means the battery needs charging, not that it's bad. In the case of the second poster I'd say he got it straightened out ten months ago. Same for the OP, since he hasn't been back since then.
