2012 BMW 335i Loss of speed (Help)

Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting here and need some help. I have a couple problems with my 335I, it has 80k miles on it and recently broke down on me. Turns out it went into limp mode because of a broken charge intake pipe. I took it in, was charged 650$ to get the rear one replaced. As soon as I got in my car it didn’t feel normal, it was pulsing while idling and thought it was because of the new part installed. Whilst driving I noticed I had lost a lot of power when pressing my gas pedal. It didn’t feel the same and felt like it wasn’t accelerating the same at lower speeds. I also have some other problems that I’m getting fixed, such as smoking from the engine bay due to a valve cover leak (getting fixed currently) and squeaking noise when I use my JB4 Tune. Possibly PCV Valve. If y’all have any ideas to why my car lost some power please let me know!!

Thanks

Sounds like to me some type of boost leak/ vacuum leak. Was the car fine power wise till the chargepipe broke? I would of gone with an aftermarket chargepipe because the OEM pipe will break again with time.

Garage List
Start with checking your charge, boost, turbo inlet and intake pipes / connections. If stock, replace them. If upgraded, check to make sure the seals are good and they're all cinched together nice and tight.

Yes, it was completely fine, then the pipe broke, had a guy fix it who only works on BMW’s and after that the power isn’t the same.

bmw 13 71 7 615 026 appears to be for the CP so the first mistake was replacing the OEM CP with another OEM one, especially if you are running a JB4. Too late for that now, so take it back to the shop and have them perform a full pressure/smoke test.

damn, that's an expensive charge pipe. with that money, you can buy FTP charge pipe + boost pipe combo and have some money left (or buy ER combo with added few more dollars on top of that $394)

too late now as jeremy said...
