Had a 540i for the day and looking through options it seems like if you want the MPPSK, you need a new torque converter. What's interesting is it's the very same TC that's fitted as standard on the 340, 440, 140, 240 and more.

Does the 540 TC not lock up enough, or as early? It certainly feels different when it changes but surprised it actually needs replacing.

The G30 is shown in both lists, so it looks like it can have either. We tune the 540i to 400hp with no TC change.

The G30 is only listed because that TC comes with the MPPSK, the standard TC is in the first link.
