1st why?
2nd wrong 6.5 screen: as you can read it's an apix2 instead of apix1 managed by your head unit.

I think you won't have any trouble making an exchange from another member of the forum.

I have just done this to my F22 2016 using the 65509292248 screen, coded it and it works great. I also didn't need to do anything for the split screen, it works fine

For those who had issues with 1/3 of the screen being black when upgrading from 6.5 to 8.8" screen...

I have 2016 F33 with HU_ENTRYNAV, 6.5" screen with no navigation. I was able to successfully upgrade to 8.8" using part #65509387453.

Reviewing previous posts I saw many say it was not possible, but that is incorrect. The key is (what a few others called out) using E-Sys to code. I had attempted to change the screen resolution and display variate to brietes_display using both BimmerCode and BimmerUtility multiple times. It always resulted in 1/3 of the screen being black. Using BU but coding using E-Sys, it worked on the first try by just changing the screen resolution and display variate (only two entries to change for HU_ENTRYNAV). Hope this saves someone the frustration.

At the moment I have 6.5" with business nav and would like to install 8.8"
Over the bimmercode I can see that I have hu_nbt_evo and current screen is Apix2.
My VIN nr is A084495.

According to your vin you should install the 8709338 cid that is touch, hard to find.
As I know you can install the last of “non touch” cid 6822626 that is an APIX2.

no one knows a good price as each one is different. i paid $300 US for my 8.8 a few yrs ago from ebay.

start at realoem.com and use the p/n you got for the 8.8 cid and from there, you can see what cars have that 8.8 cid and just pick one and grab the p/n for the HU listed.

there are two HU options that came fitted from factory for your car - 65129270375 or 65129270373.

The one from ebay looks like it should work.

good luck. make sure you are ready to code the HU to your car as it’s not an easy task. might be better to pay someone to help you out with that.

ive got ESYS installed finally got the psdzdata file to extract and connect to the program just waiting on a ethernet to usb adaptor now. Ive done everything else on bimmercode the -auto/start -disclaimer removal- ledlights- tpms-. So going to Esys is def a Task that i think i can handle after reading some posts and threads ill just need to find a correct SOP. Psdzdata LITE is 16gb. had to setup an external usb disk cause the cheap pc laptop i have is only 32gb Kept saying internal error and file has no end etc etc.. what a headache that was...So i already know its not going to be easy..
Being that i have the MMI installed and working now and have the 8' screen im not stopping now......

Hi, I bought the f31 2019 vin AE87498, head_unit ENAVEVO. w/o navigation.
I'm really missing CarPlay and reverse backup camera, what's my best option(s).

Looked on AliExpress but there's so much, very confusing.

Upgrading the iDriver controller would also be great as I only have 3 buttons.
