435d vs m140 drag race

Had a little play with the brother in law on barra beach.

M140 seemed to struggle for traction, any tips from the rwd owners?

435d on the other hand was fantastic on the sand.

Have a look, video is un-edited. Going to have another play soon, so any suggestions fire away.

Cool.

What did you use to film it - very clear and stable ?

Used a mavic air, good bit of kit!

Wish I had taken the time to get better shots, but ended up getting carried away.

That's a great video. My wife now has an M240i and I've got the 435d, we'll be doing a drag race soon to compare and now I want one of these drones!

I'll say, these things are amazing now you would have thought that must be on the worlds tallest tripod to be that stable. go back ten years even and tell someone it was filmed buy a flying "toy" and pro's would be claiming witchcraft.

Looks like a fun day. Hope you have a good jetwash.

It is great fun if anyone ever gets the opportunity give it a go.

I made sure to give the car a good clean on the underside, so hopefully no ill effects!

The xdrive on that surface really is good, I was already a fan, but even more so now.

The 435d looks a lot faster than the M140.

Traction, just point and shoot with them. But also good for having a play, as it just keeps going even as you get it sliding.

Painting kidney Grills

I have painted the chrome on my front grills.
I removed the grills from the car, it was then very easy to remove the grills from the centre. I then followed this process:
1. Lightly sanded the chrome with 1200 wet and dry paper
2. cleaned with panel wipe
3. Applied one coat of plastic primer
4. Applied 2 coats primer
5. Applied 2 coats black paint
6. Applied 2 coats of lacquer.

One year no issue and they look great!

A 114i with Xdrive would be quicker than a M140i on sand, not an entirely fair comparison!!
