Main dealer Service discounts

Hi

Anyone know how to get discounts off their prices? I mentioned im apart of a bmw forum etc and they were not bothered.

I just need an oil and filter change and pollen. I can do it myself but I prefer to get it logged on the I drive.

I've never known a dealer to offer discounts. Prices for the same service vary at different dealers so I'm guessing there is movement in the price, it just depends on how much they will budge (if at all) .

In my experience its hard enough trying to get good customer service out of some dealers let alone any discounts

If you go to the BMW service website and put in your reg and mileage it should give you service options and prices, they are generally the lowest you can get especially if car is over 3 years old

Thanks, done that already, was just wondering if I was able to reduce it.

They show £349 for front pad and discs, and I have the blue brakes, so Im guessing the price is wrong for my car? lol otherwise it would be a bargain!

They occasionally have special offers on but that seems a bargain

I used the 'Value' service on my 328i

Still 209.00 for oil, oil filter and microfilter

However one alternative is to do the service yourself and update the idrive. This can be done using HU-ServiceManager. There are some caveats but if all you want is everything recorded on the idrive it works well. Search my threads if interested.

Each main dealer has their prices on their website for many different services. Go onto their respective sites and see what each charges. I have found there is a lot of difference for my next brake fluid service and MOT.

I went on the BMW locator. It then showed about 6 dealers on the map that were around my post code. By clicking on each of the locators on the map it took me to each individual dealer showing service prices. I got six different prices off six different dealer websites....just showed two of them on my post but got them for all.
