Which OBD2 dongle to go for?
Hi there,
Searching for a OBD2 dongle, like iCar 2 or something similar i think. What I want to achieve is folding mirrors on lock/unlock, brighter lights, maybe not to hold lock button for 3sec to close windows on lock, reading/clearing error codes and so on.. Thanks for any input. |

So, if i get let's say this, I don't need any dongles? As i'm assuming we got just one obd2 port anyways. :
Edit: Or I still would need this to make it accessable with E-Sys? Last edited by WUKONS; 07-19-2018 at 10:46 AM.. |

Hello,
You can use an ENET cable and Esys, id did it, it is cheap but complicated. or You can use a Bluetooth Dongle and an application for iphone / android, it's really easier. I'm using this dongle : TONWON Bluetooth 4.0 It is working very well with my BMW X4 F26 (and others Fxx) Here is my french Review of the dongle and Bimmercode if you want :to have a look : https://www.ma-bmw.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=35309 |

Edit: Nah, nwm. going cheap. Got this and this. Thanks in advice but after reading stuff on forum, you can't really code anything with just dongle. Last edited by WUKONS; 07-21-2018 at 02:42 AM.. |
