I realize this thread is old, but for reference, the series you mention have backseat monitors. Illegal in front in USA (just like DVD while moving...and yes I know you can code).
Second, USA TV standard is ATSC 1.0. It's a disaster for vehicle in motion (Not enough error correction among other things). ATSC 3.0 is about to be implemented in USA that is much better for receiving in vehicle OTA TV signals. |

Hi, I have made the installation in my bmw f20 of a tv module, the fact is that I add 601 to vo and I code with esys and I do not get the tv option in the menu of my NBT.
Can someone tell me what are the lines that I need to modify in the NBT so that the option appears? Thank you |

Apologies for bringing this thread back, was just wondering if I could ask does anyone here have the individual fdl codings for this retrofit?
I'd prefer not vo code my hu as it would reset any previous work |

You need to know which FBAS connection are used for the TV and select this accordingly (wert_1-4-10) Wert_4 if you have NIVI + Surroundview TV module A25*1b Without Video switch module : Fbas+ : 2 Fbas- : 8 Shield : 7 Evo A42*1b If you have Night Vision : Fbas+ : 21 Fbas- : 24 Shield : 23 Without Night Vision : Fbas+ : 19 Fbas- : 26 Shield : 25

Hi everyone,
I need your advice. I want to retrofit TV Module suitable for my Country PT on a F11 with NBT Evo (retrofitted) In my country the TV signal is DVB-T MPEG-4/H.264, its one of the countries that did not changed due to the new frequencies of 5G From my research In teorie DVB-T2 supports HEVC MPEG-H (H.265) and DVB-T MPEG-4/H.264 Does anyone knows if this is correct? 65508717279 TV module DVB-T2 From:11/01/2018 |

Well, as some who did retrofit in my e46t for shh and giggles,
1: Because Americans don’t care about tv in cars, even 15 years ago when it was analog and useful. how many cars/suvs have you seen in the last 20 years with screens in them, but only a game console or dvd as a source? 2: now that we are ATSC, it is absolutely pointless as it has 0/nil/no forward error correction meaning even with a good signal, after 2 mph it is gone. Seriously, just moving in parking lot will kill the image and sound until you stop for a couple seconds. DVB-T that they use in EU and other parts of world is far more reliant and can actually be used in motion at freeway speeds. So why offer the option here when it would be nothing but a cause for complaints for John Q Public?
