i think those are the covers that i mentioned in my previous post, i saw them on realoem when i was originally making a list of parts I need, and opted to not get them. i figured since the screw has a washer that comes with it, it’ll be good enough. but i respect wanting to follow the oem spec 100%, if you do opt to get them

Well not many new additions for the car as I have decided to move across the country back in May, I am now residing in Washington state and my car safely made it on a transport truck with an over 3,000 mile journey. Leaving NYC opens up a lot of opportunities for my car as it shifts directions in its useful purpose. I no longer consider my 340i a "daily driver"... it now mostly sits in a garage and even though I take it out to run errands, without a daily commute to work it almost seems like a weekend car now. On the upside, it stays cleaner longer and I am now looking into doing a full paint correction project on it. Suspension and lowering the car is on the menu now as well since the roads here are actually nice, compared to NY. I will make sure to update my journal as new upgrades appear, as slow as they may be.

For now, I was able to put together a legit pressure washer setup to give my car the nice baths that she deserves, with today being my first official time washing her in the PNW. Pics below:

Got an alignment done for first time since I’ve owned the car. Was a lot more in spec than I anticipated. Camber is off in front, which is an indication that something needs to be replaced on passanger side. It’s good news for me because a half degree off isn’t terrible for tire wear or noticing car pulling to one side, but it justifies doing a full suspension overhaul.

She looks different without the NY plate! At least you were able to drop the front one though, maybe?

WA still requires front plate but I see a ton of people running without one. From what people told me, since I don't have front plate holder drilled into my bumper, cops wouldn't give me a ticket. Still on the fence if I'm gonna run one or not haha. I won't lie, I sometimes think the car looks better with the offset tow hook plate (just in person though, in pics it doesn't translate)

I'd agree with you. I have offset plate as well but with some cheap Amazon mount. It took me longer than it should have to get the plate level though. One day I'll invest in the quick release one.

yeah highly recommend the US Millworks one, it's night and day difference to literally every other option on market. I recently had to get an ebay plate holder for my wife's Mini cause US Millworks didn't offer one for her model, the installation process was awful and the hardware is poor quality.

Usually bmw within spec for front camber I believe is -0.5 to - 1.4

You won't see uneven tire wear, my specs are somewhat similar and I have perfect wear.

Just make sure toe is good.

I’m slowly becoming a car wash nerd, dialing in my budget pressure washer setup has been quite fun and rewarding. washed both cars in my stable currently, the F30 and the F60. might do a breakdown of all car washing gear and products once i think it’s finalized

Very nice build. This build journal made me a fan of Mineral Grey. It looks so good when properly cleaned. Dare I say better than Black Sapphire Metallic...

Wow. Very clean mineral grey. It appears we both did similar things without looking at your build thread ! Matte carbon here and you went gloss.

Big thanks again for the illuminated shift knob write up ! I’ll have to add your rear bumper extension/trim to my list !
