Evening

I've a 2016 F31 with the awful base audio & the tiny 6.5" screen.

Looking to upgrade the whole system - for as 'OEM+' as possible.

I'm not a complete audiophile so not looking for anything really top end, just something that doesn't sound absolutely dog shite when only at 1/2 volume.

There is a vibe system (front only + amp) for £449 as a benchmark.....

It’s quite hard to drastically improve the base system.

I had it in my F10 and made the best of it with a new 12.3” Android screen and audio wise I went for:

Match Component for BMW Speakers Front and Rear
Focal ISUB BMW 4 underseat subs
Vibe Powerbox65.4BMW3

To my ears now it’s sooo much better, it’s not as good as HK, but it’s fine for me, not cheap though, reckon that all the audio stuff not inc the screen cost around £750 inc the tweeter grills needed.

I bought mine via Ali Express so it was substantially cheaper (£275) and tbh they are all prob made in the same Chinese factory.

Mine came with a reversing cam so took me a day to fit, but the screen itself was pretty easy, I’d say a couple of hours start to finish, comes with the piggyback harness to plug into the bmw loom, pretty much plug and play.
