Bmw 2017 3 series F31, no warning tone displayed on screen, also radio doesnt work, no soumd at all from in thr car, i checked all fuses under bonnet all ok, checked fuses in center of boot under cover and found fuse blown, 40 amp fuse, replaced fuse it blew again, but was only a 30 amp fuse as was all i had so replaced again and now doesnt blow but still nothing works, ive scaned the car and no faults present however says amplifier not equiped is that my issue its saying not equiped becasue its at fault or is their another fuse.

The speaker made a strange noise then shotley after all stopped working

Your amp is knackered , same happened to me.

Luckily mine was still under warranty.

2017 , F32.

H K amp is located on the LHS of the boot.

It was all done by the dealer so I wasn't involved with any diagnostic work.

My brother had a similar problem with his F32. There was a loud screeching sound and a pop, and then a burning smell coming from the dash. We also thought the HK amp had gone, but he had it tested and it was still working. It turned out part of the wiring situated behind the radio was touching a metal bracket which caused it to trip and stopped all sound from working. He had a BMW specialist look into this who found the issue straight away as they said they have seen this happen to alot of Fxx cars and appears to be a common issue. He's had no issues since they resolved this.

Just a thought before you go spending on another HK amp which i know isn't cheap!

I will check that as well other than the burning smell thats what happened with mine, ive got a MOST bypass cable comming so hopefully that will idtefiy if its the amp or something else
