Resonator Delete Kits for 435i

Hi everyone,

This is my first post, glad to join the community!

I am thinking of doing a resonator delete on my 2016 435i. I know I can go to a muffler shop and get it done there, but I am thinking a resonator delete kit instead might be a better idea. I did a quick search here, but didn't have much luck. Do any of you have experience with/or know of any resonator delete kits you might be able to recommend? I am looking for something like this but for a 435i:

http://www.dinancars.com/product/d66...bmw-f22-m235i/

Sucks that Dinan doesn't make one for a 435i.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, I'm also considering resonator delete but I'm wondering if it's necessary to get one of those straight pipe to replace the section or can it be just cut out and welded back using smaller pipe? Will there be huge difference in sound?

The resonator itself isn't too long maybe 12" or so. Not sure if your thinking about swapping it with a "straight" mid pipe?
You can just cut out the resonator and put a regular pipe in it's place. If that is what your asking
And I would stick with factory piping diameter and not down size.

Removing the resonator will add more volume and even deepen the tone a bit.

Thank you very much!

Do people use different types of pipe to replace the cut out section? I get confused with Y or X pipes, not sure what they actually help with :/

Would you happen to know the diameter of factory pipe?

Yes, if they want to replace the entire mid pipe. The resonator is just another piece in the mid pipe, at least for the f3x. So you don't have to change the entire mid pipe

X pipe can't be used on an Inline engine, because we have 1 downpipe.
But a Y pipe can be used. (Straight from the down pipe, exit to 2 exhaust tips)

I think factory pipping is 3" but I'm not sure, an exhaust shop should know, if you decide to take it to one to cut the resonator

According to other members, resonator delete+MPE no drone issue. Not too sure about other combination tho
