Before I share my results, know I installed brand new 1 step colder plugs and coils right before the dyno. Also we did 3 runs first in comfort mode before realizing dsc disengaged sport plus mode. The difference was 35whp from comfort mode to sport plus. Finally on the 4th run after the car was already heat soaked we ran the results again

MHD claims stage 2 plus n55 pwg is : 400HP, 430 torque for n55 pwg

My xDrive pwg n55 dynoed 330whp and 415 torque to the wheels.
Which is about 396hp and 498 torque at crank. I bet if we did the the 1st run in sport plus from the beginning, I would of been a few hp higher but It didn't bother me since the car made what is was basically supposed to make just as mhd advertised in terms of hp

My torque was about 15% higher thanks to xhp.

I'm curious to see everyone's dyno numbers for either pwg or ewg n55's on any stage. Please indicate your tuning company
I'm curious why you are using a 1.2 wheel to crank hp/tq correction factor? I dont think these cars have a 20% drivetrain loss. That's very high.

Also, were the dyno numbers weather corrected? Another critical factor that affects the numbers. In either case, indicate the temperature and altitude when/where you did the dyno and the type of dyno.

Also, sport + does not disengage dsc, it turns on dynamic mode but does not fully disengage it. You need to hold the buttom for that. Unless traction control was kicking in, sport + and comfort should make exactly the same power at WOT. Did you not put the car in dyno mode before doing the pulls?

Finally, what gear did you dyno in? XHP will do nothing unless you are hitting torque limits. So unless you dyno'd in 3rd or 6th XHP shouldnt make a difference.

The numbers are around what is expected for a PWG but all of these factors make the peak #s pretty meaningless without proper context and the absence of a baseline pull on stock tune.

I asked for everyones dyno numbers.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1336704

if you go read this forum it will explain that dsc turns off sport mode and puts you back into comfort !

I am fully aware of what during DSC off does for the throttle mapping and how it returns to the base throttle mapping in comfort mode. But that does nothing for peak power. When you push the pedal all the way down to 100% the DME is request 100% throttle angle (assuming not throttle closures for overboost or anything). Same thing at WOT in sport+ mode. There's differences in the transient response between the two modes (from WGDC mapping, etc), but that shouldnt affect peak #s in a WOT dyno pull in a single gear.

You also didn't answer any of the other questions so we have no context for the numbers you presented.

Well the numbers speak for themselves the shop ran the dyno 3 times with dsc fully off swifter to the left and I was getting 295ish to the wheel. As soon as we change it to sport plus I got 330whp.

The shop I was at used a AWD dynojet, they r really professional and know their stuff so If you got a problem go complain to them not me because this thread is to see everyone dyno numbers.

Those are good numbers for a PWG, but without logs and without a picture, we are just looking at peak figures which doesn't tell us much.

The problem is the numbers mean nothing without proper context. We don't know why you used 1.2 wheel to crank correction, we dont know if the dyno numbers were weather corrected, we don't have a baseline dyno, etc etc. We aren't complaining, we just need more information....

There's plenty of threads about dyno numbers if you search for them. The important thing is putting those numbers into perspective.

About 345WHP SAE - that's like stock M2 terrotorry, and a far cry below the 375WHP-380HWP of the MHD and BM3 Stage 2 tunes.

According to carbahn website, the stage 2 flash tune is $750 + $299 for the flasher!!!
Wow that's a major ripoff IMO.
