No it's not! Or at least BMW says it's not. They have to replace the entire lens/cluster and have to re-program back to factory defaults. Just had it done on my 2017 440i convertible. Under warranty of course.

Sorry to dig up this old thread - but do you know of anyone who has replaced the lens. This has happened to me today and I can only think it was a bump or pothole in the road because it was not me. I cant see anywhere of how to separate the lens from the main housing..... many suggest it isn't possible, some say it is.

Reviving this

- My solution was purchasing a used cluster from ebay for half the cost of new, then just replacing the assembly from the new to the old.

Worked like a charm, no coding needed as its just the cover that changed.
