So had the GC installed last week and for now i'm running OTS MHD stg2+ 95 oct map and as my luck would have it, I believe i have a problem. The car runs great but i have lost power pretty significantly and i think it's because of boost deviation. Should the GC be able to hit target boost with the OTS map?
Other then boost target the only other symptom is a slight whine sounds like turbo noise that was not there on stock turbo. Does the WG need to be adjusted manually on the arm or electronically with a turbo swap on this vehicle? If the WG arm was hitting the vband bolt on the downpipe i'm not sure i can see how that would cause underboost (it was installed with bolt upright and i've read that the arm could hit the bolt in this position and limit its travel) Here's my first log... MHD stg2+ 95 oct mapping https://datazap.me/u/nat/log-1681642...39-40-41-42-47 Here's a log weeks before with stock turbo same map. https://datazap.me/u/nat/log-1677938...36-37-38-39-43 Torque act clutch nm went from 676 on stock turbo to 606 on GC... No boost deviation before and now yes... Questions... 1) Is this normal? (i don't think so) i data logged after 10 miles driving after install, is there learning in this regard with the turbo upgrade? 2) Boost leak? 3) Problem with turbo?

Looks like you are under boost at lower RPM, but it hits boost at higher RPM. The GC takes higher WGDC at low RPMs because it is a bigger turbo, and is not as efficient as the stock turbo at lower airflows. The OTS time is tuned to the stock turbo, so this is why you see the base turbo WG setting too low. I did have better boost control than you when I did the same thing however. One thing you can try is to reset "load adaptations" using MHD. This will reset the PID learning for the turbo, and make it relearn the GC. This might help. But essentially, you changed fundamental properties of your engine but the DME doesn't know, so it'll never be perfect (til you get a custome tune). Odin did a great job with my GC tune.
