Stop Production on 2020 440i Grande Coupe???

So my order was in the order bank for 10 weeks and nothing. So I canceled the order and went elsewhere. Sales manager told me that the 2020 440i xDrive Grande Coupe was on stop production indefinitely. So I went for the coupe. Sat in the order bank a full 4 weeks before it finally began production. It is right at the departure port as of today. I am very excited, but will miss the Grande Coupe!

Congrats on the new coupe but I think you got some bad information. Per the most recent production schedule the 2020 GC is in production from 3/19 to 7/20.
The article below also say that ..."The F36 4 Series Gran Coupe, on the other hand, will remain in production for one more model year, starting in August 2020."

Check it out ....

Thank you for you in depth information. I did not explain enough. I was told by two dealerships that the combination of 440i xDrive GC 2020 was in stop production. It was in the order bank for 11 weeks until I canceled the order. Then I started an order exactly the same with the same custom details, but as a Coupe. That was the only difference. Actually, it is not life and death. No one will ever sit in the back seat any way, and if someone ever sits in the passenger's seat, it will be a bonus. LOLOL But thank you.

Production on the G22 coupe should start in mid 2020.

The G26 Grand Coupe should start about six months later.

You are ordering a car at the end of its model cycle. The F3x line began in 2012.

Unfamiliar with the G series. I take it you are referring to 440i? F series, unfamiliar as well.

I can understand that this 440i GC xDrive is at the end of model cycle, but that is not a pertinent matter to me. I love the body style very much, and the interior I love. I am not an early adopter. LOL But the Snapper Rocks Blue with the Ivory Dakota White leather interior just sends me. I will be very happy non the less. The Inline 6 is the deal breaker for me. I am going from a 3 series to a 4 series - although many people have tried heavily to get me to get the NEW 3 Series - I test drove a few of them, even the new 3 M340i, I think it is - it is just under an M3. Great drive, and nice new model features and all, but when I got into a 440i, it was all over. We all cant be super cool. LOLOL

The F3x series was introduced in 2012. It is the prior generation of the 3 & 4 series.

The F30 sedan has been replaced by the G20. Both were known as the 340i. The M340i is just a 340i with a body kit, a tune, exhaust and a suspension upgrade. There is a HUGE difference between it and an M3.

The current 440i is the F32. It will be replaced by the G22 in about six months. If you want features that are more or less equivalent to the M340i, you should order the F32 440i with the M Sport package and MPPSK (M power, performance and sound kit), which really transforms the car.

Actually, I did order the 440i xDrive Coupe with the M Sport package and the power/performance and sound kit. I is a BEAUTIFUL car - plus the color combination. So I am really looking forward to it. However, it has been "at the port" for almost 2 weeks now, and that is a long time. I hope it is ok. LOL

I went through the order process a few months back on my 440 convertible and that wait time at the port is the killer. You can get status updates on nearly every stage of the order but then it sits on the dock waiting for a transport truck to fill up, a driver to not be on a mandated rest time, and then finally, miraculously you'll get notified that it's at the dealer. You'll get it soon enough, and never think about the tracking anxiety ever again. Grats on a great car!

It finally arrived at the incoming port two days ago in Brunswick. So to your message, it is at VPC processing.

Congratulations Sunshine. You're going to love the car! I have the white interior as well and 5 months into ownership it's still spotless
